The reason I asked all the students to write letters about their reading is because soon we will be working on writing letters during reading workshop at school. I want to see how well everyone writes letters now and what kinds of things students write about their reading so that I know what to focus on in class.
I love poetry very much and would certainly enjoy reading some from you. However, for this assignment I do need to see a letter about your reading.
